Support for people living with HIV - Community, food, friendship & peer support

Volunteering Opportunities

We could not provide our service without our fabulous volunteers!

Volunteering can be a very rewarding and enjoyable activity. It is often described as a fantastic way to ‘get out’ or ‘give something to the community’, and is a great way to meet people and make new friends.

Relevant experience, or an understanding of HIV are not necessarily required. Full training is given in understanding HIV, and in undertaking the voluntary roles we have available. The volunteer team is inclusive and supportive, and all new volunteers spend time working alongside experienced team members. However there are certain attributes which are required of all volunteers and these include:

Throughout the year we regularly recruit new Session Volunteers, and depending on what vacancies we have these roles might include cooking, helping in the kitchen, or helping in the dining area.

We pay out of pocket expenses for travelling to volunteer, and try our very hardest to take account of individuals availabilities and time commitments.

If you are interested in volunteering, click to see what roles we have right now.

You can apply to become a volunteer by completing our online volunteer application form.

We will then get back to you,  tell you more about volunteering and hopefully arrange for you to come along and meet each other.

We look forward to hearing from you and talking about what we have to offer.
