Support for people living with HIV - Community, food, friendship & peer support

Welcome to Lunch Positive!

We provide a welcoming,
supportive and peer-led HIV community space.

We offer healthy & enjoyable lunches, evening supper groups, and plenty of  opportunities to socialise with other positive people across Brighton and beyond.

We aim to create spaces where everyone feels comfortable and included – a great way to make new friends and to find peer support!

Lunch Positive HIV befriending making new connections Brighton Hove

Did you know that Lunch Positive has just launched a befriending scheme?

In partnership with local befriending charity Together Co, we are helping people who are living with HIV in Brighton and Hove, and East and West Sussex to make new connections.

The scheme will match people with HIV with a like-minded volunteer to develop supportive, enjoyable and fulfilling friendships.

Lunch Positive provides a safe space for you to make your own.

Share a cuppa with other members, ask for or share supportive tips – or stick with one of our volunteers until you feel more confident.

We sometimes have speakers, support workshops and advice surgeries as well, and you can find out about all sorts of other activities organised by our members and volunteers.

Lunch Positive Brighton HIV AIDS support Covid19

The Lunch Club is welcoming, informal and supportive of everyone who visits.

We open from midday for tea or coffee and a chat, and from 1 PM we provide an enjoyable freshly cooked self-service lunch, including a vegetarian option.

You’re welcome to come along any time during opening hours – there’s no need to book ahead. One of our friendly volunteers will greet you, tell you more about what we do, help you however we can, and make your visit comfortable.
